Scarves, Wigs and Hats
Something of what my cousin faced undergoing recovery from cancer.
Scarves, Wigs and Hats belongs to the following groups:
All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, Safe Haven and WMGIt comes and hits where we are at;
We don’t seem to think much of that.
Until with no hair to part;
And such a haggard face,
Chemo-therapy trims “the fat…”
It is a battle, day to day, for life.
Oft, we care not to hear the fife;
Particularly under the “knife”.
Then it tests our vanity,
To realize our discovery
We desire our living recovery;
More agreeable to chat
Under scarves, wigs and hats
Than having cancer devouring our fat,
Under a full head of hair, at that!
