Most folks will show an image of an angel -
A cherub lookin near like you and me
(there are) Angels of a different kind,
Those critters that have touched our lives,
Have spoken much to tell us
Of God’s love through His creation
Angels wrapped in fur
Have done much to mend a broken heart,
Set a soul aright once it has fallen
Beneath the reach of human hands,
Help us along our journey’s way.
I believe they will be right there with us
In New Jerusalem’s walls and fields
To touch our lives once again
Away from the curse of Adam’s trespass.
He set them down here with us
To share in life’s heavy loads -
Loads of a metaphysical kind
Only angels of fur could lift and carry!
