Now that these two words are before us, “ , why , pray tell, are such words brought forth? The fact is that no two words can better define a term that is used “Quite Comfortably”’ by a large population group to give “license” to truly what can be defined as an – OXYMORONIC TRAVESTY
Let’s ‘wed’ the two basic concepts of the term for visual purposes:
ox•y•mo•ron•ic + trav•es•ty = combination of contradictory or incongruous words to imitate
in a grotesque or distorted manner.
Now that that is accomplished, what is this oxymoronic travesty?
It is a term that proliferates all contemporary sitcoms, soap’s, talk shows, celebrity news…. In general society at large (and small I may add).
So what is all this build up about and no obvious clue to where you are going with this?
The cause and reason will be obvious when the term is ‘dropped’ with a significant amount of backlash from some sectors of the reading audience and considerable agreement by those who have been affected adversely by a lifestyle practice that is a ‘by word’ of this society. I asked someone how this term can be considered an oxymoronic travesty, they stated they were still not clear what a oxy- moron really was but “you had to be both the ox and moron to participate in such activity”!
