Work continues in the River Forth on the foundations for the New Forth Crossing just slightly West of the Forth Road Bridge in East Central Scotland.
This shot is from the promenade in South Queensferry close to the Forth Rail Bridge, looking under the middle deck of the Forth Road Bridge.
The foundation which will support the centre span of the new bridge is being assembled centre right on Beamer Rock.
The bridge is scheduled to be opened in 2016.
In the background at Rosyth Dockyard is the Goliath Crane, the largest in the UK and behind this there is a little snow on the tops of the Ochil Hills.
