Two Historic Scotland Category A Listed Bridges

The view from the middle of the pier at Port Edgar Marina showing the two bridges which cross the River Forth from South Queensferry to North Queensferry in East Central Scotland.

The south tower of the Forth Road Bridge is in the foreground and behind it can be seen the world famous Forth Rail Bridge

The Rail Bridge was opened in 1890 and looks set to continue for another hundred years or so. The Road Bridge was opened in 1964 and a new replacement bridge is already in the early stages of construction and is expected to be completeted by 2016.

The Forth Rail Bridge is an Historic Scotland Category A Listed structure. HB Number 40370.

The Forth Road Bridge is an Historic Scotland Category A Listed structure. HB Number 47778.
