An English Heritage Grade II Listed Building
Along the coastal path between Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay on the North Yorkshire coast of England at Ling Hill stands the main Whitby Lighthouse.
Built in 1858, and known as Whitby High Light, it is only 13m (44ft) tall but is positioned on top of the coastal cliffs so the height of the light above mean high water is 73m (239.5ft).
Whitby High Light is an English Heritage Grade II Listed building (Number: 327625).
