A shot from just outside the harbour entrance in the seaside town of Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.
There are two Lighthouses and two Beacons on the arms of the entrance piers, all with fixed lights, with the east beacon showing red (out of shot on the left) and the west beacon green.
The 25.3m tall West Lighthouse was built in 1835 and the 16.5m tall East Lighthouse was built in 1855.
St Mary’s Church and Whitby Abbey are on the eastern headland. The Abbey is accessible by road, and also via 199 steps from Church Street to the top of the East Cliff.
