Jean de la Lune is a 110ft, 20 berth Brigantine – a two-masted sailing vessel square-rigged on the foremast and fore-and-aft rigged on the mainmast.
Previously the centre of a highly successful Charter Business, the Jean de la Lune was a regular competitor in the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Races where she was usually among the fastest five competiters.
Built in 1957 in Brittany, of Oak planks on Oak frames and re-built to the highest standards throughout in 1998. It is registered as a Sail Training Ship (currently under suspension while laid up afloat in Leith Docks, Edinburgh, Scotland).
The ship is currently for sale, asking price; £375,000.
