Artist's Description

Constructed in 2001, in Genoa, Italy at the Harbour, beside the Aquarium, a large glass and metal “Bubble”, created for the G8 summit.

Built by the architect Renzo Piano it is called locally “Piano’s bubble” or “the ball”.

The Bubble is a small tropical paradise, a luxury greenhouse containing ancient ferns and plants from the Amazon rain forest.

Genoa is the birthplace of Christopher Columbus.
