The town of Symi on the beautiful Greek Island of Symi is a maze of small alleyways and steps containing houses, shops, restaurants and coffee shops.
The shops sell a bewildering array of tourist memorabilia; sponges, pottery, jewellery, books, maps, paintings and just about anything else a tourist may want.
Symi is a member of the Dodecanese group of Greek islands and lies 24 nautical miles to the north east of the Island of Rhodes.
