This little grove stands in a snowy field on the outskirts of South Queensferry, Scotland.

Snow (other than the short lived inch or so) has become increasingly rare at this latitude in Scotland over the last 20 years, so it is nice to see a decent fall of snow, even if it does cause chaos to our transport systems. Unfortunately, we now have about 2 foot of snow (60 cm) and the country has ground to a halt.

Shot taken on 6th Dec 2010.

Really pretty, great graphic quality! From what I understand of the news, seems like Scotland and the rest of Europe has gotten more than you fair share of snow so far this year….
It is snowing lightly here in the Montreal area, and they say it will be a typical Canadian winter with lots of snow and cold! Despite all the incovenience of snow and cold you have to admit that scenes like this are so attractive! Stay warm my friend! :-)

  • Thank you dear Joanne, we had a lot of snow last week and it looked like it had stopped but it returned with a vengence this morning. The country shut down (literally), no trains, no buse, very dangerous roads, schools closed, thousands of commuters unable to get to work, etc. The snow has stopped now and we do not expect any fo the rest of the week, however, it is pretty cold and now we have freezing fog …
