Artist's Description

Looking East along the Promenade (Newhalls Road) in South Queensferry, Scotland on 28th November 2010.

The car park along the promenade is generally pretty busy with tourists who flock to this ancient Burgh Town to take in the history and look in amazement at the two giant bridges over the River Forth. Kids love the snow, but it is not so good for tourism.

The train crossing the road is on the elevated tracks at the south end of the world famous Forth Bridge, it is heading into Dalmeny Station which is only a short distance further on.

The Forth Bridge is an Historic Scotland Category A listed structure. HB Number 40370.

Camera: Canon EOS 450D (Digital Rebel XSi in the USA)
Lens: Sigma 18-200mm
