The harbour front in the village of Nimborio on the beautiful Greek Island of Halki (Chalki). Most of the bars and restaurants on the island can be found here (there are not that many to choose from). The lovely little village of Nimborio is the only settlement on the Island.
The prominant clock tower was built with money endowed by the residents of Tarpon Springs, Florida, USA (descendants of Halki sponge divers who were forced to relocate when the sponge diving around Halki became unprofitable). Unfortunately, it does not work any more, consequently, it only displays the correct time twice a day.
Halki is a small yet very charming island, part of the Dodecanese group, situated opposite the west coast of Rhodes.
