    When I went to the Gyle shopping Centre I saw some snow capped hills in the distance, but not as clear as these. Can’t wait to get back to Scotland, even if just for a day or two.

  • Cheers mate. The hills you would see from the Gyle were probably the Pentland Hills. they are in the opposite direction (South) from the Ochil Hills.

  • The shot was taken just 2 days ago (13 March 10). It is not usual to still have snow on these hills at this time of year but we have just had the coldest winter for 30 years …

    This scene looks so gorgeous, alas, the comments above don’t say the same, but whatever the place, you have made it look really beautiful, I love your subtle colouring in your photo’s and the lighting, really great capture.

  • You really have to know the area Josie. Bo’ness was a coal-mining and heavy Industry town with a busy harbour importing coal all over the world. It is not a pretty town, but like all towns, there are some little gems worthy of note and the view from the hill over the river Forth is outstanding.
