Walking around in the Medieval Old City of Rhodes on the beautiful Greek Island of Rhodes, I came upon this lovely courtyard with this great stairway. It was not until after I had taken the shot that I noticed the young lady at the top of the steps. I smiled and waved and she smiled back. I lifted up my camera intimating that I had been taking photographs of the steps. She smiled sweetly and said “OK”. So with the permission of the young lady in the red top, here is the image I took.
Rhodes is a Greek island approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi) southwest of Turkey in the eastern Aegean Sea. It is the largest of the Dodecanese islands.
The medieval Old Town of the City of Rhodes is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
