These steps lead you down to the Ferry Glen, a wooded area with a stream, a small waterfall and a lovely walkway.
Shot taken at 12:28 PM on Christmas Eve, 2009.
Snow (other than the short lived inch or so) has become increasingly rare at this latitude in Scotland over the last 20 years, so it is nice to see a decent fall of snow, even if it does cause chaos to our transport systems.
The area was very overgrown and virtually inaccessible for many years, but the local council have recently done a wonderful job of opening up the glen to the public.
The glen runs right through the middle of South Queensferry, Lothian Region, Scotland, though you would never know you were in a town.
