This lovely building not far from the harbour area in Split, Croatia is the National Theatre, the setting for a varied schedule of performances during Split’s summer festival and the rest of the year.
Split is one of the oldest cities in the area, and is traditionally considered to be just over 1,700 years old, although recent discoveries would seem to indicate that it may be several hundred years older.
