Artist's Description

Inside the Sultan Ahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque), Istanbul, Turkey. A view of one of the huge Pillars which hold up the four half domes which circle the central dome.

Built by architect Sedefkar Mehmet Agha in the 17th century, it is exceptional in having six minarets.
