Tremendous photograph of a wonderful machine. The plume of steam says it all and adds a great dynamic to the image.

Wonderful image Tom. My dad used to drive those beautiful monsters. I used to love the smell and the atmosphere on the big stations. You are really stretching my nostalgia levels to breaking point.

  • Thank you kindly John, I’m old enough to remember when they were common on the rail network …

A very attractive subject and image for all of us caught up in the nostalgia of the days of steam, somehow, modern diesels and electric trains just don’t excite in the way these do, well photographed Tom,
    Regards, Rod.

  • Very true Rod, glad you like it mate …
