Situated in High Petergate, next to York Minster. There has been a church on this site since the 8th Century. The present building dates from the 1500’s although some of the stained glass dates from 1330. Guy Fawkes was baptised here in 1570.
The City of York was originally named Eboracum by the Roman founders in 71 AD.
