How To Add a Larger View into the Comments Area
Lots of people like to add either a Framed View or a Large View of their image into the Comments area for the image.
If you want to add a framed shot, have a look at my previous Journal entry Adding a frame around your pictures.
The instructions for adding a Large View into the Add your comment box are below.
Before you start, open up the Edit Your Profile page (accesible from the my bubble page – click on the edit your profile link near the top of the page).
If you use a watermark, scroll down to Zoom View Watermark Preferences. Ensure that either the No watermark (default) or Place a small watermark in the corner of my images is selected. If you use a large watermark, you will obscure the view of the image on the page.
Scroll a little further down to Other Preferences. Make sure that the first checkbox in this section (the one that starts with Discourage people from …) is unchecked. If you do not turn this off, you will not be able to copy the image.
If you have to change anything, be sure to press the Save Changes button before moving on.
Navigate to the Public View of the image of interest.
Press the view larger button (it is just under the left corner of the image).
Right-click over the image and select Properties.
Copy the Address (URL) – make sure you get it all, there will likely be three lines of text starting with http: and ending with one of .jpg, .gif or .png – depending on the file type you uploaded.
Select view work details (it is just under the left corner of the image) to get back to the previous page.
In the Add your comment box, type an exclamation mark (!).
Paste the URL that you copied earlier (directly after the exclamation mark).
Type another exclamation mark (!) directly after the URL.
Make sure there are no spaces.
Press the Add Comment button.
That will do it – a large view of your image will be appended into the Comments area.
I hope you find this useful.

ALTHOUGH I HAVE INCLUDED THE METHOD HERE, I PERSONALLY WOULD NOT USE IT. PLEASE REMEMBER, THERE ARE UNSCRUPULOUS PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO MAY ATTEMPT TO COPY YOUR IMAGES AND POST THEM ON OTHER SITES CLAIMING THEM AS THEIR OWN. AN IMAGE IN THE LARGER VIEW IS MORE USEFUL TO THESE THIEVES. ALTHOUGH THE IMAGE QUALITY WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED FROM YOUR ORIGINAL, THIS DOES NOT ALWAYS PUT THE THIEVES OFF.

Not burst any bubbles here, but I just tried something and wanted to let everyone know, that if you right mouse click on your image that you pasted larger like I did above, you are able to copy it.
So what I did was copy this and put in one of my folders in Windows Explorer and open it up in Photoshop. It opened up looking exactly like you see here with my name in the lower right corner and everything. So anyone viewing this would be able to copy that image and either clone out the artist’s name and steal it or crop it out and use it.
I don’t know if I want to use this feature too much as this process allows it to be copied and kept with either a small watermark or no watermark at all. If I were to do this, I might just leave the large watermark in the center for some type of deterent.. Not as asthetically pleasing, but a little safer.
Just thought I’d inform everyone of this fact.

Forgot to add one more thing. The good news is the pixel size on the copied image is much smaller than the original. For example, my original of the image above has a pixel dimension of 2912×4638. The copied image is only 533×799. So maybe if someone tried to print that image or be a crook and try to use it to sell elsewhere, the quality would probably not be very good.
I’m curious if you have any input and knoledge on this subject Tom. Do you think it is worth worrying about?
Tom Gomez replied
Hi Adam, the reason that the pixel size is smaller than your original is because RB only scale the image to look reasonable on the page. Anyone trying to rip off your image will get a fairly low quality image (certainly no where as good as your original), however, I have noted from several alerts of the last few years that this does not seem to put some people off and they may still steal you image and post it onto some other site claiming it as their own.
I posted these instructions because I was originally asked if it was possible, however, at that time I was not so aware that people may steal your work. On reflection, I think that it is much wiser to leave the large centred Watermark as this is generally too much work for the thieves to remove.
You should always check the Discourage people from … choice as this will overlay a blank image on top of your own when shown in Larger view on your Public view page. Anyone trying to right-click and copy will just get an empty image.

Hi Adam, I have added a warning to my Journal entry (see above).

Thanks Tom. That is a fair way to present this whole idea. I am glad I know how to do this and probably will sparingly. I will have to decide if I want to leave the larger watermark in the center or not. Oh well, at least I had a chance to try it out and show off one of my Autumn images to boot. LOL
