No Tom, well, not too late, anywhere between 7 and 8am.
I know this is probably the wrong place to type this out but can I ask you something . . . well, I’m going to anyway . . . . I want to get the train up from Newcastle to Edinburgh and go to the Zoo cos I’m sure it’s the nearest one to where I live. My question is, are all the animals behind glass? is it a good place to get shots of Tigers, Lions etc?

I’m afraid I’m the wrong person to ask David. I have not been to Edinburgh Zoo for at least 20 years. My daughter was there recently and she tells me that it is mixed. Basically anywhere that you have dangerous animals they are usually behind glass so that kids can not stick their arms into the enclosures. This means that the big cats are definately behind glass. It is worth looking at the Edinburgh Zoo website. The 2.15pm Penguin Parade is always worth a look and the Budongo Trail is a must see.
Not sure how much help this will be but it is a great zoo and well worth the visit.
