Coniston village
Coniston is a village in the region of Furness, England. It is located in the southern part of the Lake District National Park, between Coniston Water and Coniston Old Man. The village is situated at the head of Coniston Water, the third longest lake in the Lake District.

Guess the wee get together was called off Tom. Myself & Mrs ‘B’ spent the weekend in Perth but we came home this morning; didn’t fancy a day out in the Persisting rain!!

I’m not sure if it went ahead or not. We just could not face it in the rain. The forecast was for heavy rain all day and a risk of flooding. I did not fancy walking up through the woods of the Hermitage in that. A pity really because I was looking forward to the day out …
