Living in a Palace
A rather run down building within the walls of the Diocletian’s Palace in the city of Split, Croatia.
Split is one of the oldest cities in the area, and is traditionally considered to be just over 1,700 years old, although recent discoveries would seem to indicate that it may be several hundred years older.

Lois Bryan
tom … it’s stunning, stunning, stunningly beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!
Tom Gomez replied
Thank you so much dear Lois. It is amazing to think that inside the walls of a 1700 year old Roman Palace there are people living in delapidated old houses. A great deal of work has already been done to restore the Palace, so I suspect that these buildings will also be restored one day.

Oh, Tom … from the point of view of an American … our roots are so shallow here. When I traveled in Europe and other parts of the world I was SO struck by the depth of the history. It really pulls at me emotionally. So strongly!!
Prasad
