The edge of Nimborion town
Looking over the bay of Nimborion to the edge of the village (Nimborio is the only settlement on the Island) on the Greek Island of Halki.
Halki is a small yet very charming island in the Dodecanese that is situated opposite the west coast of Rhodes.

That suits me down to the ground for times when we would be on the complex. We tend to like it that way, then we go off looking for activity, when we need it.

There are no complexes here Julie. Just a little town with a number of the houses let out to tourists, a few new purpose built holiday homes and one hotel. There are 9 restaurants and 3 bars. No discos, nor padalos or windsurfers or any other kind of water sports. Just peace, quite, wonderful scenery, beautiful walks, crystal clear water, and very friendly natives.

Strangly it was. I’m not one for sitting on a beach. Normally I like to explore the history, but Halki is so small there is not too much of that. You can not hire a car or even a bycicle, but there is a regular minibus service, a taxi and a water taxi. There are regular ferry services to Rhodes and the neighbouring Islands. People who go to Halki usually go back year after year. The pace of life is easy and relaxing.
