Je Suis Une Geisha by Sarina Tomchin

Canvas Prints

the “Je suis” paintings: first the outline is stitched onto the canvas, then I stretch the canvas and paint…this background is gold pigment in Japanese size, with Gold Leaf
then i hand bead a lot of the patterning onto the canvas. The hair is made from wools with beading etc.Shoes are all hand beaded. They’re very tactile, 3D and lluscious.

Ive been through your portfolio, and I like so much, but this the best. For the life of me, I cannot explain what it is I like overall – whether it is the subject matter chosen, the quality of work, the simpleness with some and intricasy of others, or something else. What I can say, is you appear to have a very unique style – nothing tries to be more than it is, but within that, it is so wonderful.
It is very much YOUR work, and nothing else which I have seen on here even comes close to being like it. – very recognisable amongst the masses Sarina, and special because of it. You deserve to do well with it.
