retailing

great day, had my first coffee in a week and it feels great (tastes brilliant) get’s you all hyped. i ran the soft sand classic this morning and just wainting on the results to go online and find out how i went. Think i won my age group but not sure how i went overall. ran well but with so many laps of the beach (they had to shorten the course due to half the beach being washed away from the storms we’ve had) and you lap people and have no idea of who’s beating you and what place you are. Then this afternoon we went “retailing” checking out similar type products and what they retail for so that we reassure ourselves what is an acceptable price. we left the kids with friends and then we we got home we had a pizza night….i’d made some rye dough before we left so it’d prove by the time we got home, cut up all our fresh herbs, grated some beautiful fresh mozzarella, cut up our vegies etc and then we all line up and make our own pizza. YUM!
Yesterday i spent half a day making a Doily patch skirt and put this wool fringing on the bottom that i bought in this enormous Haberdashery shop in the clothing district in New York, (you could easliy spend a week in there alone!) it’s pretty special. All in indigo blues, i dye the doilies and laces and pacth it all onto a sueded Cotton lycra.
Tomorrow i’ll finish an Apres Velo graphic and start drawing up the 2008 Winter Range. going to stretch some little canvases for the kids to paint in the morning to keep them occupied. Tired now.
What’s everyone listen to whilst working. I’m a JJJ devotee. Love Howling Bells, Julia and brother(?) Stone, Little Birdy, Regina Spektor, Emilie Simon, Camille………mostly just radio though as i work on my own and just love JJJ 24 hours a day.
