You have a compelling style. A combination between realism and a more playful cartoon feel.. it’s definitely very beachy and summery. I would love to see more work outside of your comfort zone though.

hey Damien, well….i’m open to suggestions about working out of my comfort zone! I’ve got an image bank of over 500 paintings, 1000’s of ceramic designs (worked as a homewares, ceramic artist for well over 10 years) yardage prints, placement designs, painted murals, (toilets, pubs, school buildings….balancing on ricketty ladders 6 metres off the ground) amphibious bus in Figi and have so far painted or designed anything that has been suggested. There’s not many subjects or styles I haven’t played with. Now, maybe you were meaning comfort zone as in painting a ceiling? Or missing breakfast? Now, that’d be uncomfortable! I’ve even painted turtles.
i guess as my dad would say, I’m old enough and ugly enough to know what i enjoy now and that is still pretty varied. You gotta pay bills, huh?
