PHOTOGRAPHED THIS BEAUTIFUL ROSEATE SPOONBILL AT THE D.J.WILCOX NATURAL AREA A CANOE LAUNCH AND FISHING AREA FT PIERCE FLORIDA. NEWLY RE-CONNECTED TO THE INDIAN RIVER LAGOON. MANY PEOPLE VISIT EACH DAY TO FISH OFF THE NEW PIER,WAID FOR TROUT,PHOTOGRAPH AND HIKE. THIS IS ONE OF 24 NATURAL AREAS AND PRESERVES IN ST LUCIE COUNTY THAT BEGAN IN 1996 WITH THE PASSAGE OF A $20 MILLION LOCAL BOND PROGRAM.     Great capture and shot Tom!! Love these birds!! Hubby and I were at DJ Wilcox area on Tuesday afternoon and the wind about blew us away LOL And a bit of rain too. Not a great taking for photography!! I love going there though! We must be just missing you at all these places!! :-)) Congrats on the feature too Tom!! Way to go bud!! Hugs!
