St. Saviour Church, Dubrovnik, Croatia

This Renaissance church was commissioned by the Dubrovnik Senate and completed in 1528 in thanksgiving for the city surviving the 1520 earthquake. Architect Petar Andrijich of Korchula. Even with the crowds this time the building is undaunted. It commands its space.

    nice street scene Tom

  • I have never been sure that I like this, but the building intrigues me because it is so planted and rather serene amidst the crowd.
