These storms carry wind and torrential downpours and sometime hail but are generally not to be feared as tornados.THey are very dramatic though.

Amazing! The peculiar thing is that the size of what you see in the mesa or high desert land of the southwest is so huge that when I took this I was standing in sunlight. Almost like watching a movie.

Well, New Mexico does but not many and it is so unpopulated most would go unreported. The weather usually looks worse than it is.
