Portraits on Route 66 west of Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA taken on Kodak Safety Film with a Contax RTS. These photos have little welcome in RedBubble. They are not pristine as they are taken from 30 plus year old negatives stored in desert conditions. They are not appropriate for those who sentimentalize the highway that held great hope for some and such misery for others. Some are restored but most are used as scanned. They so well match my shattered and sketchy memories. They were all produced with great love for the people involved and were a respite from our struggles to try to save the world. We were happy and we failed.
