Thinking of fall and the strange, wonderful and lonely delight of it; the re-entrance of fire for warmth and comfort as cold sets in. Thinking of death and life reborn, listening to Loreena McKennitt, this is what happened. Scottish spelling I’m told. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Very nice, Nelson. Love your words – I am a pseudo fan of Loreena (just recently started hearing her music on my internet radio at work)
Her voice knocks me out – it is otherworldly beautiful.

Wow, Nel, this is amazing on so many levels. Its great art, # 1. I don’t how its done but it captures the essence of Samhainn beautifully. When the veils are the thinnest between the two worlds, when our ancestors speak to us with flaming tongues of fire. I am entranced by its symbolism and power. Wow.
Stunning work! So how many faces are hidden in there… or is that just me?
Ha Roddy! – So you noticed – There’s a few different ones for sure! Thanks so much!
fire? heat? quite powerful
Thank you so much Georgiana…

Really strong image of fire… mesmerizing. Don’t know Loreena, but maybe I should ;-)
Thank you so much for your feedback! She sings everything from folk songs, to her own unique, world-music-inspired compositions. A core favorite for me. If forced to recommend a starting point, I would say “The Mask and Mirror.”
