Traveling through the woods I find both beauty and its opposite – all together, all part of one process. A small deer for some reason has died and scavengers have take over in all directions at the same time the earth pulls the remains down into the ground – the striking contrast of the leaves just knocked me out -

    this reminds me of a alter: the sacrifice, the arch of the the bones never to move, the color surrounding, an offertory of leaves and movement. So very beautiful. Sigh.
