visually stunning image,Nelson. With the red (looks like thorns to me) the passage through the portal may well require risk. Compelling image.
Nelson Campbell replied

I love the idea of portals and thresholds, etc. I see a bit of bloodshed on the thorns, indicating a not-so-easy passage, perhaps a dangerous journey to an unseen destination.
I love the watery environment. Hey, maybe that’s the womb and the portal is the birth canal…. into this unsettling world. Well done, Nel.
Nelson Campbell replied
Oh Anne, I always love your perspective and appreciate you sharing them…thank you!

Yes, life is a journey, this portrayal is as if stepping from one age into another, one totally different from the previous, but one bright, which is depicted by the white, although there are wounds along the way, depicted by your red markings on the branches of life…...it looks as though the past was not an easy one either , depicted by the swirls, twists and turns of life….love this Nelson….just my interpretation …...:-)
Nelson Campbell replied
What a beautiful and thoughtful interpretation my friend…I appreciate reading your thoughts and for taking the time….
Farras Abdelnour
well, i wouldn’t describe myself as a steelers’ fan, not really into football. but i should say i m happy for the city :-)

Glad you got around to another abstract—I always enjoy them. To me, a depiction of the struggle between comfort and safety vs risk and pain. Well done!
Nelson Campbell replied
Thanks LL…They are always fun to work up, in spite of seeming so serious, lol, that is what surprises me about all of this – how much I enjoy it.
