Speak for yourself Tokiko! :) OK, maybe deep down. This picture reminds me to be a gentle father (occasionally firm). Lovely economy and light.

  • Its great! You see something to smile by my work.
I read today’s forum, Edgar Dega said, “Art is not what you see but what makes other to see”.
You are right! my grandsons bring child in me. I was too stressed out to raise my own kids perfect. I realized I didn’t enjoy motherhood. But in my 2nd chance, I found a lot about me through boys. Mostly how cute and precious they are. We all loose appearrance in few years but looks isn’t everything.
Luckily we artists can use our art to show ourselves instead.

you use your art very well, tokiko. beauty is absolutely subjective and always hidden and always changing. dega was right but you could also say beauty is not what you see but it is what makes others see :)

  • You are right. We also find the beauty in ordinally thigs mostly ignored.
It is wonderful to share the thought with artists can see the same thing.
