Boat passage is a narrow gap between Saturna an Samuel Islands 1.5 k from Mayne Island, BC. It takes courage for a boater to make the passage despite the fact is plenty deep. The challenge is not being intimidated by the narrow gap and making sure you make the passage at a 60’ angle south. It is great fun watching novice boaters approach the gap only to pass it up for the 3k alternative route.
