This is an historical photo, B&W 35mm taken by me in 1950. The scene is The Jam Factory, Garden Street on the left hand side looking toward Chapel Street South Yarra, Victoria, Australia. The men are having a “smoko” at the entrance , I was employed at the factory as an Electrical Apprentice.
The Jam Factory or the AJC has now been converted into an upmarket shopping centre retaining the name of “The Jam Factory” For more of the story see:
I began my photographic hobby at the age of 12, developing and printing 120, 620 &35mm B&W, forever learning and refining the fascinating art of photography. Now at 78 I still continue with increased enjoyment using digital medium – and still learning. My favourite places for photography are the Melbourne Zoos . These are the Melbourne Zoo , the Healesville Sanctuary and the Werribee Open Range Zoo. My email address : firstname.lastname@example.org
