Pomposa Abbey is a Benedictine monastery in the comune of Codigoro near Ferrara, Italy. It was one of the most important in northern Italy, famous for the Carolingian manuscripts preserved in its rich library, one of the wealthiest of Carolingian repositories, and for the Romanesque buildings.
Traven Milovich was born in Italy, in 1976. He’s a dreamer, prior than a photographer, willing to share the most inner thoughts, his vision of the reality, the gloom beyond his eyes. He prefers the use of black and white, the dark tones and shadows, the darkness in which lurk fears. His photography is characterized by the constant pursuit of the surreal, the overcoming of the reality objectively collected by photographic means.
