Perched by Tim Miklos

Canvas Prints

Available to buy on…

This is the third painting in a new series that I am working on. This one was inspired by a frequent visitor to my backyard. My style has evolved into a mixture of realism and expressionism. In my current pieces, I am trying to spark a personal connection by using color and composition in such a way that engages the viewer on some level. There is energy in my painting process; I want them to experience that energy. My choice of canvas, discarded drywall, is a sustainable material found at local construction sites. I also like to use recycled paint and old newspaper clippings embedded in my paintings as social commentary and informative “snippets” about the piece.

I’ve painted on drywall too. I like it much better than canvas and waste from building is free… I thought I was the only one!!! Love the painting!!!!

  • Carolyn..Thank you for the compliments. I work in the construction field and saw all of this drywall being thrown away and thought that I could put it to good use! That is all i paint on now…I have an endless supply of free canvas.
