Lake Union Silhouette
A thick fog enveloped the south end of Lake Union in Seattle on a January morning. This skeleton of a pier was just a few yards off shore, with the busy lakefront behind still hidden. Photo featured in Shutterbug, June 2006. Canon G6.

Love this work. A vision of “no end and no beginning”....... perhaps a little more space to the right frame? :)

Marion Cullen
Love the muted tones, too much contrast here would just have killed the mood. Stunning capture.
Tom Vaughan replied
Thanks, Lumineaux! This was one of my first images w/ my G6, and I quickly learned about noise at higher ISO’s with this camera. (It was a challenge bringing it down).
LindaR
fabulous shot ~ like it’s floating in a world of its own ~ bravo!
acerny
You’ve made a good decision here with the sight fuzziness of the image. A sharper clarity would really ruin the effect. Great job.

I love my reflection shots, inverted, mirrored. This is a great example of what you can do with straight photography. No smoke and mirrors here Uh !? Just simple captured natural beauty. Well, man made but you know what i am saying …........
Love iT ! What a great composition too. I like it vertical too !? One of those images you could get away with it any way round. I love reflections for that !
