Hello Trace! How are you? I think your biopic is brilliant. Your daughter obviously has talent. I Like this photo very much. It does have contrasts and contradictions in mood. The figures seem to appear calm and tranquil and the light is reflected in the puddles on the sands, but out to sea a large wave rears up….........Fabulous!

Trace, So many comments and all so true, All I can say is that I love the feel and mood of this image. I like the tonality and the composition. If I would have to make any changes to this image I would crop just a little bit from the left, and right at the intersection above between the light and dark waves.

Thanks for the comment. The crop is a wonderful idea; I know the kids are not in the right place technically. I may just do the crop. It will reduce the size of the image, but will look better to the eye. I tend to leave my photos as they are, but this one may be better, even with a smaller file size.

Excellent capture Trace ~ as I first stumble upon this ~ and then scrolled waaaaaaaaaay down to see if I had commented earlier ~ and am struck with why? why so many people came to comment and say how much they liked it? I think because there is a universal love of the moments as children we’ve walked the beach ~ the feeling of sand and surf under our feet and sea salt in our hair and all seems possible laid out in front of us ~ as far as the eye can see into the ocean’s horizon ~ and the edge of our imaginations…so thank you for dropping in a moment of memory of being young and walking on the beach xx
