The beautiful view from the top of the Stanley Nut.
The Stanley Nut is an iconic part of the Circular Head region of Tasmania, Australia.
The “Nut” is what remains of the core of an ancient volcano.
The historic village of Stanley was built largely by convict labor in the early 1800’s around the base of the “Nut”.
This view from the top of the “Nut” looks down over some of the town of Stanley and then out to the farming district of “Forest” to the south. It also encompasses both East and West inlets, and the Green Hills.
I chose this title as I couldn’t help singing the “Seekers” song of similar title as we walked around the top much to my sisters boyfriends horror lol.
