Thank you so much Penny. It has been a challenge to learn how to paint again after not doing any work for so many years while being chained to a regular job. It is amazing how much one forgets, and you have to figure things out all over again from the beginning so to speak.
Dave Edwards suggested that I add a different self portrait so I fooled around with that a bit. I hate being photographed, and much prefer to be behind the camera instead of in front of it.
The Iris has been my favorite flower for many years. A pleasant surprise for me was that people here in Penticton grow many types I had never seen before in Vancouver. The entire month of May and into June for me was like a kid being in a candy store.

This just has to be one of your best paintings. You are a really good artist.
Many thanks Dave, I thought it was a decent effort considering it was my first completed watercolor.
I’ve just had another look at this and I like it even more today :-)
Thank you Dave, your kind words are truly inspiring.
It looks REAL Terry! Brilliant work! ( I see you’ve changed your picture too!)

I totally agree with you Terry…I think that’s why I have a drawing instead of myself!!
I love irises and this is beautiful, Terry!
Thank you so much Mandy.
