Observance

2 weeks ago, our home was burglarized and this poem was the result of some observational process…

Our gratitude for all the love and support during this most interesting part of life’s journey ♥

Forcibly entering one’s consummate sacred space
while I view the world through a broken windows trace

Secretly intent to commit a crime of time and thought
without right, you carried away more than just store bought

Collected treasures of placed memories and ancestors passed
there in the morn and gone by evening’s contrast

Tokens of love, friendship, hope, memorial and peace
adornments of creative splendor and inheritance by decease

Scented glassworks of antiquity, precious metals and stones
all have a story to tell, a heartstring resonant of bondstones

Keepsakes of all our relations from travels afar and near
instruments of medicine shared, now in hands insincere

Contemplation reveals fears’ victim has said good-bye
while serenity’s observer awakens within my mind’s eye.

    We invest meaning in our stuff. When someone violates your property and takes it from you it does hurt. I know this feeling too. I hope you recover from this breach of trust, and do what you must to keep it from happening again.

    i feel for you friend… about 20 years ago i was burglarized… the violation that you feel is like no other… it’s like a stranger has taken away part of your life and peace of mind….. love and light…....b

    When someone violates the sanctity of home they steal much more than things. They desecrate the sacred trust we hold so dear. Our home is our sanctuary where the most sacred of all things lie … our lives. The things we place in our homes show the richness of that life which we have given meaning and honor to. The thing can be restored, but the honor cannot. If the thing lost was destroyed by fire or some other like source, we can recover the lost with honor. When it is stolen from our sanctuary the honor is lost and the sanctuary defiled. It will take a special cleansing of the heart to undo the desecration done. For it is in the heart that the sacred fires burn.

    IM stunned Tammy as I know you were so looking fwd to your time with Larry and Dawn I feel for them both two ..sharing spiritual and bubble photography time with you when this happened.
    Our lives are a blank canvas and we fill in the spaces with colour or black and white and grey areas..Someone has taken your belongings but can never be you in kind spirit and nevr own your memories…spirit material gifts and sucjh like will lose spiritual power in the hands of such people. You know all this that is why your poem is so touching and self healing. We all know what goes round comes round and what is for us wont go past us. Bless you and yours and your heart of golden aura my friend love from down under ..angelxx
