Feel the shift?

This poem was inspired after reading a book today by Owen Waters called “The Shift”. An amazing confirmation of our stepping forward into New Reality consciousness, to experience new vistas of awareness and new levels of creativity. Following our hearts to express our inner joys through making our own meaningful contribution to the betterment of the world. I am grateful and believe that it is truly a great time to be alive!

The Spiritual Shift

The sixties awakened humanity’s heart
transforming traditional culture’s depart

Historical perspectives tire of money as time
With modern progress costing our very last dime

Leading edge thought seeks awareness within
silent we trek with respect to purposeful spin

Trailblazing paths with effective resolve
to replace standard quality of life to evolve

Uncluttering trappings and diversions of old
the dawning of a new reality begins to unfold

Being as well as doing does nag us so deep
a virtue of consciousness surely will seep

With love and forgiveness alive and well
to counterbalance fear and angers’ dwell

Contributing thoughts, dreams and passions
for so many hungry souls universally to ration

Our hearts will blossom with action to serve
humanity’s highest spiritual joy, it deserves

As Cultural Creatives who cooperate, not compete
destiny’s transformation will soon be complete

Awakened we are to our truest potential being
accepting and tolerant is the shift we’ll be seeing.

    not knowing where the truth lies.

    The change might not be felt by everyone but is deff. here… all the souls that have awakened… look around and you can see so many are searching for answers or working throught their life’s lessons in ‘high speed’.. 2012 is the year most think something will change but i believe we are in that moment allready..

    Great write! I also see a beautiful, universal-cooperative-spirit awakening in the minds and hearts of young and old alike. Unfortunately, those same growths in spirit are seen by many industries and governments as perfect vehicles for greater manipulation leading to more selfish gain. I have been lied to so often by government, especially self-serving hypocrites—I feel like the kid in that move with her head spinning. The narcotic of power destroys the hearts and confiscates the souls of most men/women. That is why the US Constitution was written in such a way as to limit centralized power. That constitution presently is under serious attack by many of those who have sworn to protect. A majority of us are naively allowing our leaders to throw our babies out with the bathwater. We have become one or two issue citizens with tendency to vote our own immediate needs and desires while staying ignorant to greater issues which down-the-road would guard the rights and freedoms of all.
