Beat of a different DRUM

Beat of a different DRUM belongs to the following groups:

My heart beats to what rhythm? I ask, and where?
It’s the same at all pulse points, like sounds of a snare;

Yet, I have no drumsticks or pedals, it seems
as if nature has a part, in this beating scheme;

I will venture outside to investigate closer
connections to this pounding, and its composer;

I look to the sky, not the same rhythm there,
then look to the ground, and kneel as in prayer;

The beat’s getting stronger, so I lay down to rest,
the bass beating deeper, like out of my chest;

Caressing the Earth, soon the rhythm entwines
it comes from this planet – a harmony divine;

Convinced of the bond, between earth and sky,
I look up again, as Spirit Eagle flies by;

With drum made of elk hide, with my own hand,
I begin beating rhythm, for Mother Nature’s band;

I asked and pursued answers, until I believed
I deserved confirmation, so musically received;

I’ll become ‘her’ drum major and advocate peace,
so the beat goes on further than my nephews and niece.

    My heart and soul beats faster than a drum
    whenever I feel the wind
    For the weather makes us alive and ready to live
    whenever I feel the wind
    .
    When the stars at night cloud over in a storm
    Whenever I feel the wind
    I know that the rain will wash her again
    so bring on that beautiful wind.
    .
    When there is disease over the earth, and the soil needs a clean
    I pray that it brings on the wind
    Whenever a baby eagle tries to lift for the first time
    he prays to feel the wind
    .
    So the winds of change are cried for by man
    for without them stagnence will come
    And then human kind and nature will die
    So I pray to feel the wind.
    .
    Eagles and Owls survive on the wind
    without them the world would be sad
    So why let all the others decline in our midst
    so let us stand with our face in the wind.
    .
    Let us try to keep nature’s beauty alive
    and not become extinct in our time
    Let us try to live in harmony with ourselves
    so let us all feel a change in the wind.

    of the female eternal,
    beating the sound,
    with sticks of words.
    When we stop sighing,
    the earth echoes inside..
    when we stip asking for…
    the heaven pours mana of light.
    But the heart is stubborn….
    and follows the beat…
    of the cycles and rythms,
    and we would like to feel,
    the extreme silence..
    and at the same time…
    to live.
    Rosa (beautifully written Tammy, and felt.. you have a poetic touch, that is quite mystical, but unaffected that I like very, very much. A perceptible style, a soul’s background A hug for you)

    Ah, it is so important to beat to our own drums!! I have always done that, except when I got a little lost along the way – he he he – yet, this is what life is all about!! Popeye said it best – I yam what I yam – heck, he REALLY didn’t care if anybody else ate spinach!! Keep up the rythym of your beat, because it is drumming loud Sis!!!
