Sneaky Snake
As I chased around dragonflies near our ponds, this little garter snake surprised me, hanging about in the lily leaves. As we approach the Autumnal Equinox on Tuesday, the snake reminded me of the healing power of the West/Fall manifesting through shedding its skin. A snake does not remove one skin, then vulnerably search out another. The new, pure skin grows beneath the old. What is released is outgrown and useless. If it were not released, it would impair the healthy functioning of the new skin.
The future offers the opportunity for purity and healing through the shedding of skin, as long as you don’t let your new skin grow back to resemble the old…
I have been working on the newest installment of Mind Soundtracks for EarthMonster Illustrated and harvesting a bounty of heARTworks found here on RB from my colleagues and the subject matter is along these same lines of releasing the old for new and better change. Hope you check it out for October release and even better, maybe join the group here too – EMI

This is a facinating shot..I held a snake recently in Morroco…while seeing a snake charmer…Ive also seen many a shedded snake skin while out walking early morning in Australia..when one draws this card in Native American Tarot it represents Transmutation a very poignant task of self change. Without recognising it …we are changing inside all of the time and the learned us is growing if we allow…..angelx
tkrosevear replied
thanks Angel, yes transmutation is snake medicine for sure – been fascinated with them since I was little (if I didn’t love them my 7 brothers would have tormented the hell out of me) I love to watch them and certainly heed their medicinal power as well ;) xoxox ♥

Hi Tammy …. it is Spring … and for ChiBallTM time to let the sap rise and the new growth appear. So I can relate to your narrative about the snake. It would appear you had a fruitful meeting amongst the lily leaves.

Raven SiJohn
What an interesting shot, the way he’s all curled up around the grasses. I had a blue racer once that lived in my underground greenhouse. The first time I saw him he was about 6” long and he dropped down from the overhead rafters onto a flat of plants I was carrying and scared me so bad everything went flying. But after that I just looked for him when I came in. He kept the bugs and mice out of the greenhouse and lived happily there. When I finally moved away several years later, he was nearly 4ft long.
tkrosevear replied
thanks so much Raven, love snake stories and your is no exception ;) xoxox ♥
