Rainbow Masters

Playing with another mandala, in between working/publishing a JOURNAL manuscript, I was torn for naming and lacking for a story to accompany…
Low and behold, my sister Sally Omar posted an amazing writing called Dancing Rainbows, which in words and feelings matched it to a tee.

So without further ado…

I danced with a rainbow
and it danced with me
I realized what love was
and I was finally free

a breeze joined us
the birds sang their song
I realized what grace was
nothing was wrong

the angels were humming
the doves took flight
my life flashed before me
I didn’t sleep that night

I thought of the trials
the tribulations I’ve seen
and then there was the beauty
mixed in between

a heart is a heart
meant to understand
a soul is a soul
please hold my hand

travel through beauty
turn your head from hate
we are the masters
of our own fate.

    Brilliant!!! This looks like something the ancients would have drawn with colored sand to perhaps call on the gods of the rain and the giving of life to come forth. A visual prayer. The poem fits this nicely as well.
