Celtic Mandalas are mysterious and embedded with secrets and symbols, offering a unique way to connect with ancient spiritual and aesthetic realities. It was almost hypnotic, even revelatory as I played with this “Triskele” or Triskelion – consisting of three sacred spirals or ‘Trinity’ representative for me of the Sacred Feminine, or Maiden, Mother and Crone energies. Symbolic of the on-going cycle of birth, life and death for the Celts…a primordial power that inspired them to be treated as sacred motifs.
